October 5th - 6th, 2024. Kanzler Weide Minden

The variety of goods from the traders, who come from all over Europe, the historical hustle and bustle, the culinary delights with food and drinks and a variety evening with music and dance on Saturday evening attract numerous visitors to Minden on the Weser. The historical dealers bring unique goods with them: fabrics, costumes and historical accessories from all eras up to 1918 are exhibited and sold on both days. Experience a unique day with the whole family and enjoy the picturesque hustle and bustle of the traders, historical music and fantastic acrobatics!

Historical music

Historical music creates the right atmosphere during the reenactor fair. Various artists will present their music in the tent and throughout the area.

Petting zoo

The petting zoo doesn't just make the hearts of our littlest historical guests dance! In addition to donkeys, goats and the rooster, the legendary “mini pig” is a crowd favorite!

The rustic furniture invites you to rest together. It's not just historical drinks from jugs, cups and glasses that await guests.

Experience the horsemanship of the Knabstrupper Stud in the large outdoor arena of the exhibition center.

Civil War

Get insights into the American Civil War era. The actors have a lot in their luggage: troop marches, a cavalry and a lot of historical information.

Lez Accros

The medieval climbing tower protrudes far beyond the outside area. Anyone who manages to climb the tower without being afraid of heights will be rewarded with a view over the exhibition grounds from a height of 10 m.

    Tickets are now available from Minden Marketing GmbH (Domstraße 2). Tickets can also be purchased at the event box office.

    * Children up to and including 6 years receive free entry. Discounts for schoolchildren, students and severely disabled people are listed in the FAQ section.

    Are parking spaces available?

    Yes. Parts of Chancellor's Pasture are also available as parking areas during the reenactor fair.

    Can I park my bike?

    Bicycle racks are available in the areas of Kanzlers Weide.

    Can I travel by train?

    Yes. Kanzlers Weide is within walking distance from the train station. Information about train connections can be found at www.bahn.de or www.westfalenbahn.de

    Is EC card payment possible?

    Only cash payment is possible at the box office. Some stalls offer EC payment.

    Where can I find the nearest ATM?

    Minden city center can be quickly reached via the pedestrian bridge. The various banks and ATMs are located on the market, in Bäckerstrasse and in Domstrasse.

    Are you allowed to bring your own drinks and food onto the premises?

    The reenactor fair offers a wide range of special food and drinks that round off the “reenacment” experience. There are already benches and tables on the site for people to rest together. Own drinks and food are not prohibited.

    Are weapons allowed to be brought onto the premises?

    No weapons may be taken onto the premises without a permit to carry weapons and prior registration.

    Are dogs allowed on site?

    Yes. Dogs are allowed to be carried on a leash. Please note that there are other animals on the premises and they should not be exposed to unnecessary stress. Furthermore, there may be loud gunshots during the demonstrations.

    Are toilets available?

    Yes. Toilets are available to visitors on the event site. Barrier-free toilets are also available.

    Where can I find accommodation?

    Minden's motorhome parking space is located directly on site. If you need a hotel or holiday apartment, please contact our tourist information:

    Are there ticket discounts?

    Yes. The regular ticket price is 9.00 euros, for children 4.00 euros. Students also receive the same discount as children upon presentation of their student ID card (entrance fee: 4.00 euros). 

    Severely disabled people and students receive a discount of 2.00 euros on the regular adult price (upon presentation of the relevant ID). 

    Children up to and including 6 years receive free entry.
