You can indulge in nostalgia in the extraordinary reconstruction of a ship mill on the Weser. Unique in Germany, in the ship mill, reconstructed according to plans from the 18th century, you can follow the path from grain to flour with a full-time ship miller.
The first mentioning of the ship mill in Minden goes back to the year 1326, when the city leased six berths for ship mills on the Weser. This makes Minden one of the oldest ship mill locations in Germany.

The ship mill is open Tuesday to Sunday from April to October.

Tip: The ship mill restaurant also offers lunch. You can enjoy your meal there with a picturesque view of the mill and the Weser!
